Now open!
UNWND Boutique Hotel Camiguin

The first UNWND branch in Mindanao has opened in time for the Lunar New Year of the Dragon. UNWND Boutique Hotel Camiguin is located at Brgy. Yumbing in the Municipality of Mambajao, Camiguin’s provincial capital. The resort hotel has stunning views of White Island, a powdery sandbar two kilometers off Mambajao’s northern coast.

Only nine minutes away from the Camiguin Airport, UNWND Boutique Hotel is just a two to three minute walk to the White Island Ferry Terminal in Mambajao for a quick boat ride to the heavenly sandbar.

UNWND’s room options include the Executive Suite, Jr. Suite, Luxury Double, Luxury King, Luxury Queen, and even a PWD Room. Enjoy watching sunsets at the pool and lounge area while chilling.

Meals are available at MAMSER! – a fun Filipino restaurant inside UNWND that offers various cuisines with a great dining setting and ocean view at the hotel’s atrium. WYP Bar has great booze options that elevate nightlife on the island.

This newest UNWND branch is part of ARAW Hospitality Group that also operates boutique hotels in Poblacion, Makati City; Calatagan, Batangas; Caticlan, Aklan; and Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental.

WHAT TO VISIT:

Known as the “Island Born of Fire” due to Mt. Hibok-Hibok’s volcanic eruptions that shaped it, Camiguin is the second smallest island-province in the Philippines next to Batanes. It is rich in cultural heritage with tourist attractions such as the Old Church Ruins and the Sunken Cemetery.

Other famous spots are the Katibawasan Falls, Ardent Hot Spring, Tuasan Falls, Sto. Niño Cold Spring, and Mantigue Island. Camiguin is also popular for diving and snorkeling.

HOW TO GET THERE:

Take a direct flight from Manila to Camiguin via Skyjet Airlines in only 80 minutes or via Cebu Pacific from Manila to Cebu and a connecting flight from Cebu to Camiguin. Airport transfers are available from Mambajao’s air terminal to UNWND Boutique Hotel.

If you prefer a mix of air, land, and sea, there are flights from Manila to Cagayan de Oro’s Laguindingan Airport via PAL, AirAsia, and CebuPac. The land trip from Laguindingan to Balingoan Port in Misamis Oriental takes three hours, while travel time from Balingoan to Benoni Port in Camiguin via RoRo ferry is 60 to 90 minutes.
